WRT board requested reorganization effort says Henderson
One of the most frequently asked questions at forums, board meetings and reorganization meeting is “Who started this process?” At Monday’s (June 15th) Greenwood Common Council Meeting mayor Charles Henderson stated “The real request for reorganization came out of White River Township.”
In the video posted below the mayor goes on to say that “the White River Township board asked the city council to start the process of reorganization. That did not come from here, although we passed the first resolution. We did that at the request of the members of White River board because we had the means to put together the resolution that they did not have. It wasn’t that we, this body wanted to run out there and gobble everything up.”
As always we welcome your comments on the on-going efforts to forge the future of White River Township, whether that is reorganization with Greenwood, self-incorporation, or any other possibility.

Once again, the “BOARD” that has told us they want what’s best for White River Township has lied to us. I have thought they were favoring Greenwood from the start, and this only confirms it. I guess now the question isn’t what’s in it for the citizens of White River Township, but instead, “WHAT’S IN IT FOR THE WHITE RIVER TOWNSHIP BOARD?”.
