Bargersville is ready to move forward with the largest annexation in the history of Indiana.  According to a reliable source they have collected petitions for more than 850 pieces of property . There are about 1,000 parcels in the area under consideration. They need approval of half to move forward. Put another way, about 550 of 850 property owners have consented to annexation. The town council can now vote on the resolution to approve. After a town hall meeting, the annexation could become effective as soon as January 2 of next year.

The town will be holding a press conference to “announce the results of door-to-door, neighbor-to-neighbor petition drive requesting annexation by the Town of Bargersville” this morning at 10 AM. The meeting will be at the Bargersville Town Hall & Utility Office at 24 North Main Street, Bargersville.
