9-9-09: Disney “Christmas Carol” comes to Bargersville
Bargersville will be part of a new 3D Jim Carey film, The Christmas Carol. The town was chosen as the only Indiana stop of specially constructed rolling train exhibit.
This animated version of the classic Dickens tale stars Jim Carrey, Gary Oldman, Bob Hoskins, Tom Hanks and Michael J. Fox and is directed by Robert Zemeckis. It is scheduled to be in theaters November 6th.
One of the primary reasons for selecting Bargersville was the proximity of the railroad to the center of the town. The location met Disney’s need to make the train as accessible as possible to all. The trains will arrive the night before and be open to the public from 9AM to 9PM. As Carla Roy, the town’s Clerk-Treasure said, you can’t forget the date and time, “It’s 9-9-09 from 9-to-9.” This event is free to the public and all are invited to attend.
