One for the small town
I was born in a small town, and although I am not John “Cougar” Mellencamp, we did have a Tastee Freeze. No matter your position on the merger effort, or the annexation of southwestern White River Township by Bargersville you have to admire the effort of the citizens of the area to fight the good fight and do what they believe in their best interest.
In the long run, was it the best option? I can’t say, only time will tell. But it is encouraging to find out that American’s still have the ability to influence or control their own future. Whether it is who controls our community, or our healthcare, paying attention, getting involved, and taking action can allow us to be responsible for our own future.
