Thought Starters

As we move closer to a final version of the plan we will begin to post a series of “Sidnenotes” articles designed to bring attention to an issue and give you something to think about. You may agree or disagree with or comments but they are not designed to praise or criticize the plan just something to think about and comment upon. It is also important to share them with your neighbors to get them to thinking about the reorganization plan as well. You will find a “Share” link at the bottom of every article on this site, please use it, we need more citizens involved in the conversation. If you have a question please submit it as a comment or an email to centergroveinc@gmail.com.

The Reorganization Committee has spent thousand of hours reviewing city, county and township ordinances, responsibilities, problems, issues, benefits and most importantly tax revenues and the new taxes that will be added to those living in unincorporated areas in return for additional services. Do the benefits out weigh  the costs? That will be ultimate decision of the White River Township Board, Greenwood Common Council, the citizens of Greenwood and citizens of  Center Grove and Smith Valley will have to decide.

You can expect our first posting on Sunday.
