Now we hear a plea for more to cover educational needs. Sorry, I'm tapped out--My money got gobbled up by the new football field and the increased sales tax so there is none left for education. This typifies what is wrong with our educational system-too much emphasis on sports and extra curricular functions and not enough on education. Just ask Franklin Central residents. "The School Board will hear comments from the public at a special board meeting to be held on Monday, February 8, beginning at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Center Grove High School. A sign-up sheet to speak at the meeting will be available one hour prior to the meeting in the Hall of Excellence, just outside the auditorium door. Patrons will be asked to keep their comments brief to allow opportunity for all who wish to speak." Starting at 6:00 pm will be the meet-and-greet with Interim Superintendent, Dr. Emmett Lippe.
