Purpose

CenterGroveInc.org is a blog dedicated to increasing the communication between the citizens of White River Township and the leadership of the Township, Bargersville, Greenwood and Johnson County as they consider the future of our unincorporated area. While we have our own opinions, and they will be very clear, the name of the site should not be seen as endorsing the creation of a town or city known as “Center Grove”; rather it reflects our belief that the most efficient way that the government can provide services is by following the model of a well-run business. The model is call “public/private partnerships; it also goes by the name “contract city,” where most of the service are provided through contracts with individuals or businesses, rather than full time municipal employees. We chose to use “Center Grove” because that is how the area is commonly referred to and, of course, it reflects what citizens of the unincorporated area, and part of Greenwood and Bargersville have in common and that is the award winning Center Grove school system.
